Meghan knew the stress of planning a wedding in two months wouldn't be
easy. So she subscribed to all wedding blogs and scoured the magazines.
What she ended up was a New Year's Eve wedding that had a vintage edge
with a handmade touch. And the fur didn't hurt a bit! "I just wanted a celebration," said Meghan, and did she get one! They started the party at their wedding and continued it all night long through New Year's. A day-after shoot in downtown Tuscaloosa captured the spirit of a new year, and a new bride.

Katherine and Matt had the most incredible destination wedding at Carillon Beach, Florida last August. After months of planning, innumerable phone calls to bride and mom who both lived outside of the Birmingham area, we were so excited and thrilled to see our hard work come alive. Katherine's vision was to use the colors of watermelon and mango throughout to create a romantic, tropical feel, and add in lots of bling for that WOW factor. After the lakeside wedding, all guests were treated to a poolside cocktail hour with passed hors d'oeuvres, and of course, mango and watermelon martini shooters.

Jessica and Gavin had a magical wedding in May on her father's estate. Jessica's vision was to have an enchanted garden wedding in colors of deep plum and purple. Carol Riley of Lillie's Flowers helped to bring the vision to life with beautiful rustic lanterns, candles hanging from trees and incredible floral displays throughout. Food and drink flowed lavishly through the main floor of the home...

I fell in love with South Carolina's "Low Country" long before I could experience it. Noted author, Pat Conroy delivered an awe-inspiring description of the destination pressed between the pages of his novel, "The Prince of Tides." The Low Country was almost mystical in my mind, where the ebb and flow of the tides soothe the soul, and the swaying salt marshes provide nurseries for infant marine life...

While this type of theme may only appeal to a handful of you out there - it is perfect for librarians and avid readers or library lovers! I think it would be a challenge to find a library to host a wedding but I thought these two couples had the right idea...
Scott & Diana have posted images of their library-themed invitation, rules for the reception - which are quite clever considering they seem like library rules - as well as their RSVP card. Although they were unable to have their wedding in an actual library, the library theme was fitting because the both work in libraries. Great job Scott & Diana - way to get creative!
Raina & Mike actually held their wedding in a library in Clayville, New York. They were able to spend less than $600 on their entire event - which is completely unheard of for weddings in New York. You can read about their wedding here.

We are now offering the opportunity to register for wedding photography package upgrades and extras.
Is this "bad taste"? We don't think so (and I am ALL for etiquette)! You are paying for you wedding vendor, and your guests are gifting you with extras. Examples would include extra sessions (bridal and/or engagement), engagement guest books, coffee table albums, prints, enlargements, canvases....you name it! We've had a very positive response, and many brides are already implementing this with their other gift registries. You can simply list the website on your shower invitations, or email it to family and friends (it IS considered bad form to list any form of gift registry on your wedding invitations, FYI)!
For more information, you can visit GigglesnapsRegistry.com, or contact me.
